The Book Fair, the inspired brain-child of author Judith Barrow in 2013, began life in St Mary's Church House, in Tenby as the first event of the Tenby Arts Festival. It has grown, year by year, ever more successful, with more and more authors eager to participate, so that now we need bigger premises and longer hours and we have found the ideal home in the Queen's Hall in Narberth, with ample room for book stalls, talks and workshops.
This year, we are holding a
Submit a poem, in any form, of 20 lines or less, on the subject of Books and Reading.
The closing date is Monday 14th August, 2017. Certificates will be awarded for the winner and two runners up. The first prize winner will also receive a bottle of sparkling wine, the second a bottle of red wine and the third a box of chocolates, and all three entries will be published on this website.
We are inviting children (14 and under) to draw or paint their favourite character from a book. Bring your entry (with your name on it) to the fair on 23rd September, or just come along to the fair and draw a picture there. Table and crayons will be available. All entries will be displayed at the fair. Books and other prizes will be given for the best entries.
Family Book Trail
On the day of the fair (September 23rd), there will be a book trail in Narberth High Street. Pick up a sheet at the fair and find the answers in the shop windows. Return your sheet to the Queen's Hall and all correct entries will receive a bookmark, plus an entry to a prize draw for 3 great prizes:
