BOWLS

Do you play bowls or would like to learn how to play bowls?

My late mother was a very keen bowls player and won many competitions. When she broke her wrist in 2003, her sport was curtailed and she was very upset.

The bowls remained in their bag and mum would often say to me how she wished she could play again. It is a sport for many ages, old and young alike and is gaining popularity. The outdoor season is under way now and now the clocks have gone forward, what better way to have some fresh air and make new friends during the day or evening. Mum often used to 'do the teas' and would spend many hours preparing sandwiches and cakes for the teams to enjoy after they finished playing.

Bowls

After mum passed away in 2014, I kept her bowls. I think now that they should go to a good home and be used once more.

If you live in the Hereford area and would be interested in giving a donation that I will pass on to one of mum's favourite charities, Save the Children in return for her bowls, please contact me for more details?
